What Are Spaced Out Snacks?

The latest addition to the HKC Family! –Freeze dried candies are having their heyday at the moment.  So, we take four of our favorite candies and put them in our freeze dryer.  Through the process of sublimation, under low pressure we remove the water in the form of ice from the candy. This makes them enlarge and become crispy.

By removing the moisture, the flavor of each candy intensifies as it dissolves in your mouth, with every bite. Ever heard of super-candy? –Well, you have now.

Chewy candies that couldn’t be enjoyed by those with precious dental work before, can now be enjoyed again.  –No concerns about losing a crown!

Our candy selections speak for themselves. If you liked them before, you’re likely to love them now! –Unless you have some kinda texture mouth feel-y issue, then they may be a little too out-of-this-world for you!

SPACED OUT SNACKS SECRET FORMULA!

How Spaced out Snacks Are Made

How Spaced Out Snacks are made:

PHASE ONE:

CANDY CRYSTALIZATION

We rapidly freeze the candy to sub-zero temperatures in order to instantly form crystals.

PHASE TWO:

CRYSTAL HARVESTING

We harvest the crystals from the candy using a sublimation process.

PHASE THREE:

VAPOR DESORPTION

Warp sublimation initiates shape shifting and further reduces remaining moisture content.

“–Sounds like pretty cool alien food to me! “

Fun Fact: Freeze Drying is over a hundred years old!  It’s one of the best known ways of food preservation, lasting anywhere from three months to twenty five years depending on methods used.
